Three Saturdays a semester

What is Branch Up?
Branch Up is a student organisation providing children in Oxford from tough backgrounds with fun activities outside of their school lives!
Many of the children that we work with do not have access to extracurricular activities. This has a bad effect on their social development and their achievement in school too.
We give young people access to opportunities they would not otherwise have had while improving their social skills and confidence.
At the moment we need sign-ups for our Activity Day Team! Read below what that teams does
Activity Day Team
  • Branch Up run three activity days per semester for young people referred by social services
  • These days include visiting a zoo, going ice skating or running sports and art workshops
  • You will be paired one on one with a young person for the full day. Therefore the young person benefits from near to peer interactions.
  • We will provide you with a range of ongoing support and training.
  • Apply here and choose 'activity days'!
  • The first Activity Day is on the 21st October!
  • The Thursday before an Activity Day there is a compulsory Volunteer Briefing, for only an hour
Volunteering with Branch Up
  • Being a part of Branch Up is a great chance to gain experience working with children. Through training sessions and practical volunteering, you will develop a range of skills.
  • We reimburse all volunteers reasonable travel expenses
  • We are inclusive and encouraging of all students who want to volunteer.
  • Volunteering at Branch Up is social and you'll have the chance to meet many like-minded people, but why not ask a friend to sign up with you too?
