Applications are now open for this semester's Schools Plus places!☺️
What is Schools Plus?
University student volunteers deliver weekly tutoring sessions to pupils at local schools.
The overall goal is to raise the academic confidence, interest and attainment of the pupils.
Last year, 100% of teachers said that their pupils’ interest, confidence and attainment in the subject improved.
And 97% of student tutors said volunteering with Schools Plus enhanced their university experience.

Choose your own project based on your subject preference and availability
We guide you through what it means to be a tutor, a DBS check and training for working with children safely.
All DBS and travel costs are paid for by us - volunteering should never cost a thing.
We have projects both guiding the children's reading and helping their learning in a specific subject area - so you choose which you would prefer in the selection menu when you apply above!
To apply, you must currently be enrolled as a student at Oxford Brookes.
Tutors commit to 1-2 hours a week of volunteering
